Rosenthal Law Firm NJ, LLC is seeking a full-time bilingual Immigration Paralegal to join our Lakewood, New Jersey office.
Our practice handles a wide range of immigration matters, with a significant focus on removal defense, asylum, family-based immigration, adjustment of status, SIJS, motions, and related proceedings before USCIS and the Immigration Courts.
Immigration experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. We are looking first and foremost for someone who is intelligent, organized, dependable, eager to learn, and comfortable working directly with clients in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities may include:
* Communicating with clients in both Spanish and English* Assisting attorneys with preparation of immigration applications, petitions, motions, and supporting documentation* Preparing and organizing filings for USCIS and Immigration Court* Gathering information and documentation from clients* Preparing client declarations and assisting with supporting evidence* Monitoring deadlines, court dates, appointments, and case status* Maintaining organized physical and electronic case files* Communicating with government agencies, courts, clients, and other offices* Assisting attorneys in preparing cases for hearings and interviews* Providing general administrative and case-management support as needed
Requirements:
Fluent/bilingual Spanish and English – required* Strong written and verbal communication skills* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail* Comfortable speaking with clients and handling sensitive matters professionally* Ability to manage multiple cases, deadlines, and priorities* Reliable, responsible, and willing to learn* Comfortable working with computers, electronic filing systems, email, and document preparation* Ability to work **in person at our Lakewood, New Jersey office*** Prior immigration law or paralegal experience is a plus, **but is not required for an otherwise strong candidate—we are willing to train**
