Credit Analyst

Key Responsibilities

• Providing qualitative and quantitative input to Fund Managers in terms of macro and micro research on sectors and companies.

• Conduct due diligence on investee companies from a credit perspective and prepare detailed credit reports.

• Monitor and track the investee companies on an ongoing basis and provide insights to Fund Managers and Investment Committee.

• Interact with managements of investee companies, rating agencies and other market participants.

• Make presentations on investee companies to Investment Committee.

• Work closely within the Investment Team, contributing to a collaborative and high performing environment.

Qualifications

• MBA (Finance), CA, CFA (preferred), FRM, or equivalent professional qualification.

• Strong academic background in finance, economics, or related fields.

Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in Credit analysis in Rating Agencies, Banks, Mutual Funds or other financial institutions

• Robust Understanding of Fundamental Drivers of Credit Analysis of companies and Sector Research.

• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling of companies.

• Demonstrates ability to work in a team and contribute to overall fixed income team.

• Exposure to debt mutual funds, bond markets, or macro research would be an added benefit

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of Fixed Income markets, instruments and investment strategies.

• Excellent analytical skills with proficiency in credit analysis and sector research.

• Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and financial software applications
