About the Role:

As Senior Designer – Womenswear for AND, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the creative direction and product expression of one of India's leading contemporary fashion brands. This role demands not just a flair for fashion and aesthetics, but also a deep understanding of the evolving lifestyle and aspirations of the modern Indian woman.

You will lead the design journey — from concept to customer — by blending creativity, commercial awareness, and strong executional capability. You will mentor junior designers, collaborate cross-functionally, and ensure the final product is trend-right, brand-aligned, and execution-ready for a dynamic retail environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Creative Direction & Trend Research

Lead seasonal concept development in alignment with the brand's aesthetic and customer DNA. Conduct in-depth research on global and local fashion trends, silhouettes, fabric innovations, color palettes, and consumer behavior. Build compelling mood boards, color stories, and seasonal narratives.

Design Development

Translate trend insights into fresh, relevant, and commercially viable collections across categories. Create high-quality sketches, CADs, and tech packs with attention to silhouette, detailing, and proportion. Drive the development of exclusive prints, embroideries, and surface treatments that reflect the AND brand ethos.

Collaboration & Execution

Work closely with the merchandising, fabric sourcing, sampling, and production teams to align on collection plans, cost targets, and delivery timelines. Guide sampling and ensure precision in fit, finish, and construction through regular reviews and fit sessions. Problem-solve creatively during development stages to meet both design intent and production realities.

Brand & Customer Alignment

Keep the customer at the center of the design process — balancing creativity with wearability and value. Ensure each collection reflects consistency in brand language while offering newness and innovation.

Team & Process Leadership

Mentor junior team members and interns, offering constructive feedback and creative guidance. Manage seasonal calendars, ensuring timely development and delivery of collections.

Who You Are (Ideal Candidate Profile):

Experience: 6–10 years in womenswear design, with a strong background in Western wear or contemporary fashion. Education: Degree/Diploma in Fashion Design from a reputed institute. Design Sensibility: A strong grasp of Western silhouettes, modern tailoring, fluid separates, and functional elegance. Skills:

Strong visual storytelling and concept development skills

Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), Corel DRAW, and Excel

Excellent sense of fabric, fit, and finish

Great eye for detail, color balance, and design harmony

Strong organizational and calendar management skills

Comfortable working in a high-paced, deadline-oriented environment
