An early stage AI company based in New York is hiring its first Account Executive.
They’ve reached $3-4M ARR with almost no dedicated sales motion. The founders have been closing deals themselves - with enterprise clients you’d recognise. Now they’re ready to hand that off to someone who wants to own it.
This is a category-creation moment. The problem they’re solving exists across every major brand, but the market doesn’t have a name for it yet. That’s the opportunity - and the challenge.
What the role looks like
Full-cycle, from first call to closeSelf-sourced pipeline - no SDR support to startSelling into enterprise accounts at senior levelReporting directly to the foundersIn-person, Manhattan office
Who they’re looking for
Someone who’s sold something that required education, not just evaluation. You’ve been into accounts where you had to create the category before you could win the deal. You know how to build a pipeline without being handed one. You’ve worked in a startup where there was no playbook - or you wrote it.
Enterprise SaaS background. You’ve been successful at a company that was Series B or earlier when you joined - ideally as one of the first AEs. 4–8 years in. Based in NYC or genuinely willing to be.
