Senior audit associate

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Audit Manager to lead and execute audit engagements, ensure compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements, and strengthen internal controls. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical skills, the ability to manage audit assignments independently, and experience working with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and execute internal and statutory audit assignments. Review financial records, accounting processes, and internal controls. Identify audit findings, assess risks, and recommend corrective actions. Prepare audit reports and present observations to management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and applicable regulations. Coordinate with internal departments and external auditors as required. Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations. Guide and support junior team members during audit assignments. Strong auditing and financial audits experience, with the ability to lead and execute end-to-end audit engagements. Solid understanding of finance and financial statements, including analysis, interpretation, and reporting. Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to identify trends, risks, and inconsistencies in financial data. Knowledge of applicable accounting and auditing standards (e.g., IFRS, IND AS, ISA) and regulatory requirements. Proficiency with audit tools and MS Office applications, particularly Excel. Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact confidently with clients and team members. Demonstrated ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple engagements. Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff and contributing to a collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CA Qualified or CA Finalist (appeared for Final exams) preferred. ACCA, CMA, or CPA candidates may also be considered.

Experience

2–5 years of experience in internal audit, statutory audit, or accounting. Candidates with relevant articleship experience and strong audit knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Skills

Good understanding of auditing and accounting principles. Knowledge of GST, TDS, Companies Act, and other applicable regulations. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP software. Strong analytical, communication, and report-writing skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments. High level of integrity and attention to detail.
