Job Description

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support a mix of tax preparation, accounting, and financial statement work for individual and business clients. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on client service, can manage recurring deadlines, and brings strong technical accounting skills across tax returns, sales and payroll tax filings, reconciliations, general ledger activity, and financial reporting.
  • Accountant - $90-120k plus bonus
  • Responsibilities:
    • Prepare individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly sales tax returns
    • Prepare quarterly payroll tax returns
    • Provide bookkeeping services, including general ledger postings, bank reconciliations, write-ups, and financial statement preparation
    • Communicate regularly with clients and build strong, responsive client relationships
    • Set up company files in QuickBooks, including the chart of accounts
    • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual profit and loss statements and balance sheets
    • Record deposits, payments, accounts payable, and accounts receivable activity
    • Enter and reconcile monthly credit card transactions
    • Prepare and post month-end journal entries and accruals
    • Prepare and file clients annual business tax license renewals and personal property tax statements
    • Compile financial reports in the firms format by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
    • Maintain accurate historical records and supporting documentation
    Required Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred
    • 3+ years of relevant accounting, bookkeeping, or CPA firm experience
    • Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills and a professional, client-service mindset
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a small team
    • High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality
    • Comfort interpreting financial data and identifying discrepancies
    • Strong time management, organization, and attention to detail
