b Overview /b p As a Pre-sales Design Consultant at Computacenter, you shape intelligent infrastructure solutions for customers, from structured cabling to AV and CCTV. You’ll lead design and estimation, producing robust bids and cost models while engaging with clients and internal teams. You’ll apply industry standards (BICSI) and use CAD/Bluebeam to deliver scalable, commercially sound designs. Your expertise supports enterprise projects and mentoring colleagues, contributing to a collaborative, high-performance Smart Infrastructure agenda. /p b Responsibilities /b ul li Lead design and estimation for structured cabling and infrastructure solutions /li li Produce detailed bids and cost models for tenders with Account and Solutions teams /li li Engage with customers to provide expert input, attend meetings, and present solutions /li li Provide technical authority across projects for internal and external stakeholders /li li Apply BICSI standards to ensure quality and compliance in design work /li li Support solution development across IP-connected devices, WiFi, AV, CCTV /li li Deliver accurate designs using CAD, Bluebeam, and estimation tools /li li Influence design decisions and contribute to enterprise-level planning /li li Maintain high-quality technical documentation /li li Mentor colleagues and share expertise with less experienced team members /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Proven design and estimation experience for structured cabling, pathways, and Smart Infrastructure /li li Strong understanding of IP-connected devices (CCTV, AV, WiFi, Digital Signage, Cellular) /li li Experience with Microsoft Office, CAD, and Bluebeam /li li Manufacturer design certifications (e.g. Corning, Systimax, Panduit, Nexans/Aginode) /li li Knowledge of BICSI standards; willingness to pursue RCDD, CDCDP, CNIDP, or ECSE /li li Excellent communication with both technical and non-technical audiences /li li Analytical mindset with commercial awareness for cost models and risk /li li Ability to work independently or in teams on high-value projects (500K+) /li li Familiarity with NEC-3, JCT contracts and terms like LDs, retentions, warranties /li li Experience designing for Data Centres, Warehouses, and complex enterprise environments /li /ul ul li Excellent communication /li li Analytical thinking /li li Collaborative mindset /li li CAD /li li Bluebeam /li li estimation tools /li /ul
