Job Description: A Medical assistant has accountability for providing care to patients in an ambulatory clinic setting. This will involve caring for patients with acute and chronic needs. A Medical Assistant will be responsible for communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions. Shift Details: Full-time (40 hrs/wk - Option of 4x10 hr shifts or 5x8 hr shifts if preferred) Unit/Location: Heber Valley Clinic - Family Medicine and Internal Medicine Additional Details: This role will be less hands on than a typical MA role and an understanding of primary care is helpful for success. • Providing Patient Care: Under the direction of the Clinician, providing care to patients by assisting the provider to gather information that is relative to the patient’s visit and condition.
• Effective Communication: Communicating clearly with patients seeking care through different modalities including telephone and in-person interactions.
• Team Collaboration: Working with cross functional teams to collaborate on patient care. Attention to detail and follow-through are key components in helping to provide the care that is needed.

• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant Program
• Or 1 year of Medical Assistant Experience
• Or current RN/LPN license
