Senior Photographer - Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Photographer to join our growing Studio & Visual Production team. This role will lead a team of photographers while working closely with stylists and editors on catalog and campaign shoots. The ideal candidate will set high standards for imagery through strong creative direction, an eye for jewelry photography, mastery of lighting and technical skills, and clear communication. Beyond execution, you will guide the team, establish processes, and ensure brand consistency across all visual outputs.

Responsibilities:

Model & Lifestyle Photography

Lead model photoshoots for website catalogue, online content and campaigns.

Collaborate with models, stylists, and supporting crew to achieve brand-focused imagery and storytelling.

Ensure consistent alignment with brand aesthetics in poses, styling and mood.

Product & Jewelry Photography

Oversee product photography for e-commerce and marketing.

Ensure every jewelry piece is captured with precision, highlighting texture, colour, and detailing.

Maintain strict quality standards and visual consistency across all outputs.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor and supervise a team of photographers and studio assistants.

Allocate and oversee daily/weekly shoot schedules, ensuring productivity and timely delivery.

Conduct regular reviews of the team’s work to maintain quality standards.

Creative Direction & Innovation

Collaborate with the internal teams and external collaborators to conceptualize and execute photoshoot.

Execute innovative photography styles, compositions and lighting techniques.

Elevate brand imagery by experimenting with new trends and technologies.

Post-Production & Quality Control

Overlook high-level retouching and ensure color accuracy for key shoots.

Oversee the editing process handled by image editors, ensuring consistency in tone and quality.

Maintain a strong visual guideline for the photography team.

Equipment & Studio Management

Manage and maintain all studio equipment (cameras, lenses, lighting, props).

Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure readiness for all shoots.

Ensure the studio setup meets shoot requirements.

Workflow & Quality Assurance

Plan and execute shoot calendars in alignment with business priorities.

Ensure on-time delivery of high-quality images across all platforms.

Conduct quality checks and uphold brand photography guidelines.

Candidate Profile:

Minimum 6+ years in photography, with at least 2+ years leading photoshoots (preferably in fashion, jewelry, or luxury goods).

Strong portfolio showcasing both model/lifestyle photography and product photography.

Technical Expertise:

Mastery of DSLR/Mirrorless cameras, lenses and lighting setups.

Strong knowledge of advanced studio lighting techniques for jewelry and fashion shoots.

Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Capture One.

Strong sense of composition, styling and brand storytelling.

Innovative mindset with the ability to experiment with new angles, backdrops, and photography trends.

Skilled in balancing commercial needs (clean, detailed e-commerce shots) with creative requirements (campaign/editorial).

Hands-on experience working in e-commerce photography with a strong understanding of digital requirements (platform-specific guidelines, file formats, image optimization).

Skilled in planning shoot calendars, prioritizing tasks, and ensuring deadlines are met.

Comfortable working cross-functionally with stylists, image editors and creative/ marketing/brand teams.

Proficiency in AI tools for photography, image enhancement, and content creation.
