Medical Malpractice Attorney | Manhattan, NY (Hybrid) – $175K

Location/Schedule: Manhattan, NY (Hybrid)Base Salary: $175K, plus a billable bonus and a discretionary bonusPractice: Medical malpractice defense for hospitals, physician groups, and carriers. Obstetrics, surgery, neurosurgery, radiology, emergency medicine. High-exposure files. Not a general-liability seat.
Our client has defended healthcare providers for more than 100 years. About 90 lawyers. Fifty major healthcare providers. Recent results include a unanimous defense verdict in Westchester and a defense verdict on a post-hysterectomy bowel case in Nassau. 20+ lawyers made the 2026 New York Metro Super Lawyers and Rising Stars lists. Most partners are on the malpractice team, which is who you learn from.

What You’ll Actually Do:Defend physicians and hospitals in malpractice actions in New York courts.Coordinate experts and prepare them for deposition.Take and defend fact and expert depositions.Draft summary judgment motions and prepare cases for trial. xzbcwsv
Requirements:JD and active New York bar2–8 years post-bar medical malpractice defense or complex civil litigation - current Associate, Counsel, or PartnerDeposition or expert-coordination experience is a plus; strong motion writing is requiredNo one fits every box perfectly - if you’re a practicing litigator who wants malpractice defense, trial exposure, and $175K in Manhattan, let’s talk confidentially.
