We are looking for an experienced and engaged litigation paralegal to join our firm and become an integral part of our Summerlin office.
To ensure success as a paralegal at Michaelson Law, you should exhibit excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work on multiple matters simultaneously. This paralegal will assist our civil litigation attorneys with matters from inception through post-trial. Day to day, you will…Support 1-2 attorneys in all stages of civil litigation casesOversee organization and maintenance of all case-related documentsMaintain timely and accurate timekeeping records on a daily basisAssist in the discovery processPrepare for depositionsParticipate in document reviews and document creationReview and summarize documents and deposition transcriptsAssist with basic legal researchAssemble motion papers and exhibits, coordinate filings of pleadings and briefs, and ensures proper serviceDraft common pleadings, motions, notices, and other court filingsEnsure compliance with federal and state rules of procedure and evidence for document format, content, filing, etc.Assist with trial preparations, such as creating trial notebooks; identifying and organizing exhibits, coordinating witness schedules, maintaining trial calendars, and communicating effectively with opposing counsel and courtroom staffManage document deliveries and track final executed documentationAssist with overflow work and other special projects, as assignedCommunicate with clients, colleagues and co-workers in a professional mannerMaintain a professional appearance What you’ll bring to the team…Paralegal certification5+ years as a litigation paralegalAbility to meet daily billing requirementsExcellent communication skills – both written and verbalAttention to detailTime management skills and ability to meet deadlinesFamiliarity with Westlaw and Lexis NexisExceptional computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office, e-filing, and other litigation support applicationsAbility to collaborate well in a team
