Our recruitment agency is partnering with a nationally recognized litigation firm seeking a motivated Associate Attorney with 2+ years of experience in asbestos defense, toxic tort litigation, product liability, or general civil defense to join its Pittsburgh office.This is an excellent opportunity for a talented litigator to work on complex, high-value defense matters, gain meaningful courtroom and litigation experience, and develop their career alongside experienced trial attorneys in a collaborative, trial-focused environment.
What You’ll DoAs part of the Pittsburgh team, you will manage a diverse defense caseload involving:Asbestos and toxic tort litigationProduct liability mattersPremises liability and exposure claimsOther complex and high-value civil litigation
Key ResponsibilitiesDraft pleadings, written discovery, dispositive motions, and other litigation documents.Conduct and defend depositions of fact and expert witnesses.Manage discovery and assist in developing litigation strategy.Attend court conferences, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations.Communicate directly with clients, insurance carriers, and opposing counsel.Assist with trial preparation and participate in trials as needed.Take ownership of assigned matters while working collaboratively with partners and other attorneys.This position offers substantial hands-on responsibility, as well as mentorship and guidance from experienced trial lawyers.
What We’re Looking ForActive license to practice law in Pennsylvania is required.2+ years of experience in asbestos defense, toxic tort, product liability, general liability, or related civil litigation.Additional admission in Ohio, New York, or West Virginia is highly desirable.Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.Experience with motion practice, discovery, depositions, and client communications.Ability to manage litigation matters independently while working effectively as part of a team.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Proactive, client-focused, and solution-oriented approach.
