Assistant Professor - Fashion Design

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate and/or postgraduate courses in Fashion Design and related subjects.
• Develop curriculum, lesson plans, and innovative teaching methodologies.
• Guide students in creative projects, design portfolios, and industry-oriented assignments.
• Mentor students for internships, exhibitions, and fashion shows.
• Engage in research, scholarly publications, and creative work in the field of fashion.
• Collaborate with colleagues in interdisciplinary teaching and research.
• Maintain strong industry connections to bring practical exposure and guest lectures.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic events, and institutional activities.
• Contribute to curriculum development in line with industry and global fashion trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Master’s degree (M.Des/M.F.A/M.Sc.) in Fashion Design/Fashion Technology/Textiles or related discipline from a recognized university (Ph.D. preferred).
• UGC/AICTE/University norms applicable.
• Demonstrated teaching experience or industry experience in fashion design.
• Strong knowledge of design software (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, CLO 3D, etc.).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and mentoring skills.
• Creative thinking with the ability to inspire students.

Preferred Experience:

• 1–5 years of teaching or professional experience in the fashion industry.
• Experience in curriculum development, research publications, or creative exhibitions.
• Participation in fashion shows, design competitions, or industry collaborations.
