Corporate Counsel - Labor & Employment

Our client, a rapidly growing logistics provider in Chicago, is seeking a Corporate Counsel - Labor & Employment with at least 5+ years of labor & employment experience to join its in-house legal team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience advising on labor and employment issues, with exposure to workplace safety and OSHA compliance. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an attorney to gain broad, hands-on experience across a wide range of legal disciplines within a fast-paced, high-growth, and global organization.

Responsibilities:Serve as a trusted legal advisor to North American leadership and operations teams, providing practical, business-focused counsel across a broad range of legal matters.Partner with HR and business leaders on employment matters, including hiring, wage and hour compliance, terminations, accommodations, leaves, restrictive covenants, investigations, policy development, and dispute resolution.Lead workplace safety and OSHA matters, including compliance, incident response, investigations, citation defense, regulator interactions, and safety program enhancement.Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer, logistics, vendor, supplier, technology, SaaS, equipment lease, and services contracts, while balancing legal risk with business objectives and improving contracting processes. xzbcwsv Support M&A transactions from diligence through closing, including deal structuring, purchase agreements, ancillary documents, and post-closing integration.Support financing initiatives, including construction loans, credit facilities, refinancings, equipment leases, tax incentives, abatements, and grants, while advising treasury, accounting, and finance teams on compliance, reporting, and related corporate matters
Compensation & Benefits:Base Salary: $150,000 - $180,000Annual Bonus Target: 20%Comprehensive Benefits: medical, dental, vision, 401K with company match, life insurance, disability, PTO, and moreHybrid Schedule: 2 days per week WFH
