Job Summary:
We are looking for a Technical Assistant to support our technical team in managing vessel operations, maintenance, and compliance. This role is ideal for a Marine Engineer —including fresh graduates—who is keen to develop a career in ship management and technical operations.
Key Responsibilities: Assist the technical team in monitoring the performance, maintenance, and repairs of vessels. Maintain and update technical records, reports, and documentation related to vessel operations. Support in procurement of spares, stores, and consumables for vessels. Assist in coordinating dry-docking, surveys, and inspections with relevant stakeholders. Help ensure vessels comply with class, flag state, and regulatory requirements (IMO, SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.). Analyze vessel performance data and prepare basic technical reports for management. Coordinate with ship crew, vendors, and classification societies for technical matters. Assist in maintaining Planned Maintenance System (PMS) and other operational databases.
Qualifications & Skills:
Engineering degree (B. E./B. Tech in Marine Engineering) or equivalent. Fresher or up to 2 years of experience in ship management or related field. Strong understanding of ship operations, machinery, and maintenance practices. Proficiency in MS Office and technical documentation tools. Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills. Passion for learning and developing a career in technical ship management.Preferred Qualifications:
Cadetship or onboard training experience (preferred but not mandatory). Familiarity with technical management software (PMS, ERP, etc.) is a plus.Details
