Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Import Manager to lead end-to-end international import operations, customs clearance, and trade compliance for imports primarily from China. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in customs regulations, freight management, import documentation, and electronics-specific regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end import operations from supplier shipment to warehouse delivery.
• Handle customs clearance through CHAs and ensure timely cargo release.
• Ensure compliance with BIS, WPC, EPR, DG Handling, Foreign Trade Policy, and Customs regulations.
• Classify products using HS Codes and leverage applicable FTAs for duty optimization.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, CHAs, and overseas suppliers.
• Monitor shipments from Shenzhen, Shanghai, Zhuhai, Qingdao, Busan, Xiamen, Ningbo, Tianjin, Singapore, etc.
• Negotiate freight rates, SLAs, and logistics contracts.
• Minimize demurrage and detention by implementing pre-clearance strategies.
• Perform landed cost analysis and validate freight, CHA, duty, and logistics invoices.
• Manage marine insurance and cargo damage/loss claims.
• Drive logistics cost optimization while maintaining compliance.
