Role OverviewThe Resident Associate Dentist is a purely clinical role responsible for delivering comprehensive general dental care — diagnosis, treatment planning, and execution of procedures within BDS scope of practice. You will manage your own chair independently, handle a full daily patient load, and work alongside in-house MDS specialists across 8 specialty departments for complex case referrals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct dental examinations, interpret diagnostic tests and radiographs, and prepare accurate treatment plans
- Perform restorative treatments, extractions, scaling and prophylaxis, basic endodontic procedures (within competency), and preventive care
- Present treatment plans clearly to patients, explain options at different price points, and counsel on oral hygiene and preventive care
- Identify cases requiring specialist care and refer to in-house MDS specialists with a proper clinical handoff
- Complete all clinical documentation, consent forms, and treatment notes in the practice management software on the same day of treatment
- Maintain strict sterilization, infection control, and biomedical waste protocols in the operatory
- Respond to post-treatment patient follow-up queries within the same business day
- Adhere to established clinical protocols and coordinate with the Clinic In-Charge and clinical team for smooth patient flow
- BDS degree from a DCI-recognized institution
- Valid registration with the State Dental Council
- Minimum 5 years of post-internship clinical experience as an associate or general dentist in a clinical practice setting
- Demonstrated independent proficiency in restorations, extractions, scaling, and basic endodontics
- Strong diagnostic and treatment planning ability with disciplined record-keeping
- Excellent patient communication skills — ability to explain treatment options and build patient trust
- Commitment to infection control standards, patient safety, and ethical professional practice
- Willingness to work full-time on-site with a rotational weekly off (clinics operate through the week, including weekends)
- Experience in an organized dental chain or multi-chair clinic environment
- Track record of identifying and converting specialist referral cases
- Familiarity with digital practice management / clinical documentation software
- Fixed monthly salary plus uncapped treatment-linked incentive and specialist referral incentive
