BMS Estimator

b Overview /b p In this role you will develop into a capable estimator for Building Management System projects, supporting bids and commercial set‑ups. You will work with sales, project management and technical teams to analyze specs, assess costs and help establish the commercial foundation for project delivery. The position emphasizes BMS technical proficiency, rigorous cost evaluation and clear tender submissions. This is a growth role aligned with EQUANS’ expansion into smart building and energy services, offering impact across multiple sectors. /p b Pay / Benefits /b ul li 24 days annual leave + public holidays /li li Company share scheme /li li AXA private GP /li li Life cover 1x annual salary /li li 5% pension /li li Employee discount schemes /li /ul b Responsibilities /b ul li Prepare detailed cost estimates for BMS projects (labour, materials, subcontractors, equipment) from project docs and specs /li li Develop and submit competitive tender packages responding to RFPs/ITTs /li li Review drawings and technical docs to produce comprehensive estimates /li li Liaise with technical teams to clarify design/scope /li li Obtain and assess quotes from suppliers/subcontractors for accuracy and value engineering /li li Identify risks and cost drivers and propose mitigation strategies /li li Act as main contact for internal teams and clients during estimating phase /li li Maintain records of estimates, assumptions and cost databases /li li Prepare and submit accurate project estimates to support bid outcomes and profitability /li li Collaborate with sales, PM, and technical teams for commercial/technical alignment /li li UK-wide travel to client or project locations as required /li /ul b Key requirements /b ul li Strong technical knowledge of BMS systems /li li Excellent analytical and cost evaluation skills /li li Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications /li li Proficiency in Microsoft Office /li li Strong organisational and time management abilities /li li Full UK driving licence /li li Previous estimating experience /li /ul ul li Excellent communication skills /li li Strong organisational skills /li li Team collaboration /li li BMS systems knowledge /li li Cost estimation /li li Tendering for RFPs/ITTs /li /ul
