About the Role
Reports to: Production Manager
Objectives:Provide support for construction activities in accordance with Purchasing Department policies and procedures.Responsible for generating accurate and timely construction documents for homes to be built.
ResponsibilitiesKnow and demonstrate Grant’s core values and maintain a great attitude despite all challenges or extenuating circumstances.Maintain a focus on minimizing cost variances.Responsible for issuing accurate Variant Purchase Orders in a timely manner for builders.Responsible for actively identifying and communicating any take off errors or regularly occurring variances to the Senior Estimator and Production ManagerResponsible for reviewing all closed job variances each month and requesting additional information from the Director of Construction and Construction Area Managers as required to reduce variances.Responsible for providing timely, accurate assistance to the builders to answer any purchasing questions regarding homes under construction as needed.Responsible for ensuring the generation of all purchase orders and construction documents accurately and timely.Responsible for the management of New Home Release schedule to ensure houses are ready to start on time.Responsible for preparing all permitting documents accurately and coordinating with accounting for payment of permitting fees.Responsible for accurately maintaining documentation of all permitting procedures.
QualificationsCandidate must have a high school diploma (associates degree or 3+ years of industry experience preferred).
Required SkillsMust be comfortable working with our computer system once trained.Previous experience in Microsoft Excel, data analysis, purchasing, estimating, bookkeeping, or accounting is preferred.
