About the Role

As the Head of Quality Control , you will provide strategic and operational leadership for all QC activities, ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and laboratory efficiency. You will lead a team of QC professionals, oversee testing and release operations, manage audits and quality systems, and play a key role in establishing and governing a new animal testing laboratory in line with industry and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• To ensure quality control timely testing and release of all in-process samples, drug substances and drug products.
• To ensure quality control release of raw material and packaging material testing.
• To ensure testing and release of utility samples and environmental monitoring in quality control department from different facilities.
• To ensure compliance of cGMP, GDP and GLP practices.
• To take part in activities related to QMS and ensure timely closure of change controls and incidents, Deviations, OOS, OOT and regulatory & market compliances pertaining to quality control department.
• Responsible to ensure data integrity for regular activities including batch analysis.
• To ensure preparation and revision of SOP(s), STP(s), study protocols and method validation protocols & reports in quality control department.
• To ensure the approvals of COA, SLPs and other Quality control documents.
• Responsible to help in design of a new small animal testing laboratory, ensure to complete the construction in specified time, qualification of new small animal testing laboratory and approvals of the new small animal testing laboratory from the concern authorities.
• Ensure to maintain the small animal testing laboratory including facility space, facility utilities, animal husbandry, environmental enrichment, technical support, and daily activities.
• Coordination with the veterinarian and support testing team in scheduling and in the conduct of animal related procedures as appropriate.
• To ensure requests and reconciliation for facility supplies, maintains a safe, clean, orderly lab in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Coordinate the development of policies and procedures for the animal care and use program in accordance with policies of the company and external regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• To ensure to keep testing team updated in animal-based testing regarding internal and external policies and regulations.
• To ensure preparation of reports and records concerning lab activities, progress and status as requested.
• To complete any other task assigned by quality head whenever and wherever required for smooth functioning of quality control department.
• Responsible to attend all internal and external audits and respond to the audit queries.
• To ensure time to time updating of quality control procedures as per Pharmacopeia and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

Master's degree in chemistry / pharmacy

Required Skills

Prior experience working with Plasma Biotech / Pharmaceutical sterile manufacturing industry.

Experience

• 24 years to 28 years of experience in QC Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing industries
• Must have demonstrated leadership experience in leading a QC team within the past 8 years.
