About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Systems Administrator to manage, maintain, and troubleshoot our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with systems administration, security tools, and technologies such as Linux and Windows systems, VMWare, Veeam Backup, Tape Backup solutions, and MS SQL Server. As a key member of our IT team, you will ensure the integrity, security, and reliability of our systems while providing exceptional support to our users.


Key Responsibilities:

  • System Administration : Manage both Linux and Windows-based servers, ensuring their uptime, security, and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner. Review the vulnerability reports from the security team, identify & resolve the vulnerabilities on the servers.
  • Jboss Instance Administration : Manage Jboss instances running on application servers. Patching, installation, upgrade, manage & deploy latest coed for the Jboss instances.
  • Database Administration : Support and manage MS SQL Server & Oracle databases, including configuration, maintenance, performance tuning, backups, and security. Patch & Upgrade MS SQL and Oracle Servers.
  • Virtualization Management : Administer and maintain VMware environments, ensuring virtualized systems are running optimally and securely.
  • AWS Administration: Configure & maintain AWS Infrastructure services such as EC2 Instances, Load Balancer, RDS etc.
  • Server Configuration & Maintenance : Configure and maintain physical and virtual servers, ensuring systems are properly optimized and aligned with business needs.
  • Troubleshooting & Support : Provide timely support for network and system issues, including diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems. Assist end users with IT-related issues.
  • Backup and Recovery : Configure and manage backup systems using Veeam, tape backup, and other data protection technologies to ensure regular, reliable backups and rapid recovery in the event of a disaster.
  • Documentation & Reporting : Maintain up-to-date documentation on network and system configurations, procedures, and incident reports. Provide regular status updates for management regarding IT infrastructure, health and performance.


What we are looking for:

  • Experience : Minimum of 5 years of experience in Systems Administration.


Technical Skills :

  • Extensive knowledge of Linux Administration , Windows Server Administration and Vulnerability Management
  • Hands-on Experience on Jboss Administration.
  • Strong familiarity of Jboss & Apache, configuration, optimization, and maintenance.
  • Strong familiarity with VMware environments and virtualization technologies.
  • Strong familiarity with AWS Infrastructure & Services .
  • Experience of MS SQL Serve r & Oracle Database, configuration, optimization, and maintenance. Upgrades & patching
  • Networking knowledge, including routing, switching, and security protocols.
  • Familiarity with network security tools and practices to ensure data integrity and network protection.
  • Experience with Veeam Backup solutions and Tape Backup systems.


Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Industry certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, VMware VCP, or RHCSA.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Knowledge of scripting/automation (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).


Soft Skills :

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically.
  • Strong communication skills to provide support and coordinate with internal teams.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
