Objective : The purpose of this test is to evaluate your technical skills, your resourcefulness, and your motivation. It is also an excellent way to give you a taste of the creative challenges that await you on our game!

We thank you for completing this test honestly and to the best of your abilities. The test is designed to be completed in approximately 2 to 3 hours.

Test Content:

Important note: Due to the fact that VR has many technical constraints and handles overdraw very poorly, we use alternatives to achieve the desired visual results. We avoid transparency to the best of our abilities.

We ask you to recreate / interpret these VFX through particle systems / Shaders / materials from this GIF

The constraints being:

• A maximum of 10-15 particles (the fewer, the better)
• Without transparency, so alpha-clipped and opaque materials
• 512x512 textures
• Use Shaders as much as possible to reduce the particle count
• Given that there are many constraints, we take advantage of this to make the VFX as stylized as possible, which gives us some flexibility with the lack of transparency.



Deliverables:

• A presentation video: Record your screen within the Unity editor (duration: 2 to 3 minutes maximum). Give us a tour of your scene and what you did!
• Sending the link: Host your video (unlisted YouTube, Drive, Loom, or Vimeo) and send the link by email to talent@jmancurly.com.
