Key Responsibilities
Domain Solutioning & RFP Leadership (40%) Lead all relevant aspects related to domain for RFP response, proposal development, and solution architecture for healthcare payer customers: Own end-to-end domain solutioning: intake analysis, solution design, technical architecture, proposal writing, and executive presentations.
Lead unsolicited proposal development identifying domain led use cases: Identify market opportunities, develop compelling value propositions, and create thought-leadership proposals that position the organization as industry expert.
Competitive positioning: Maintain competitive intelligence on healthcare payer market, understand competitor offerings, and articulate clear differentiation in every proposal.
Proposal quality & excellence: Establish standards for proposal quality, drive consistent messaging, ensure all RFPs reflect brand promise and deliver compelling narratives from a domain solutioning angle, identify risks early, and make strategic recommendations on proposal investments.
Domain Solutioning Team Leadership (35%) Build and lead a high-performing domain solutioning team: Team composition & structure: Lead a team of Domain Solution Professionals Talent development: Mentor and develop team members, build deep healthcare payer domain expertise across the team, create career advancement pathways. Capability building: Work with leadership to establish domain Co E (Center of Excellence), develop solution frameworks, create reusable solution components, and build domain knowledge library.
Collaboration: Work closely with sales, delivery, and product teams to ensure solutions are executable, aligned with organizational strategy, and positioned for successful delivery.
Knowledge transfer: Ensure seamless handoff from pre-sales to delivery, establish post-sales customer success metrics, and gather learnings to continuously improve solutioning.
Customer Relationship & Thought Leadership (10%) Be the trusted domain Expert to UST vertical and executive leadership and customers Customer engagement: Lead customer discovery sessions, participate in pre-sales calls, and be trusted for the domain knowledge Relationship building:
Converse with healthcare payer customers and build relationship and confidence on domain expertise Thought leadership:
Exhibit thought leadership through identification of business cases in Paye domain space, discussions with UST vertical and org leadership, publish articles in social media/publish white papers to increase branding Market awareness: Stay current on healthcare payer trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies.
Share market insights with internal teams. Domain Assets & Intellectual Property (15%) Create and maintain domain intellectual property: Solution frameworks:
Develop reusable healthcare payer solution frameworks (claims processing, benefit administration, provider management, etc.). Case studies & collateral:
· Develop customer case studies, technical whitepapers, and marketing collateral that showcase domain expertise. Best practices documentation: Codify healthcare payer best practices, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in easy-to-reference formats. REQUIRED Experience:
12+ years in healthcare IT, with minimum 10+ years focused on Healthcare Payer domain (health insurance, medical insurance, benefits administration, claims processing) Minimum 5+ years in a pre-sales, solutions architecture, or solution consulting role Minimum 5+ years in a leadership or management role (managing teams, leading domain solutions for proposals or deliverables) Technical & Domain Expertise: Deep technical understanding of healthcare payer IT systems: claims processing, benefit administration, provider management, member portals, analytics Knowledge of healthcare payer business processes: claims management, enrollment , prior authorization, payment processing, appeals, provider data management , Care management Understanding of regulatory landscape: HIPAA, ACA, NAIC, state insurance regulations, compliance requirements Familiarity with healthcare IT technology landscape: ERP systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), APIs, microservices, data integration Leadership & Soft Skills: Strategic thinker: Can translate customer business challenges into technical solutions Excellent communicator: Can articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences. Expert-level writing and presentation skills. Customer-centric mindset: Understands how to discover customer needs and craft compelling value propositions. Entrepreneurial: Can operate with ambiguity, drive initiatives with minimal structure, and create results in a fast-moving environment. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
MBA or advanced degree in Business, Technology, or Healthcare Administration Experience with healthcare AI/ML solutions (predictive analytics, fraud detection, member risk prediction) Experience managing consulting or solutions teams in a global delivery organization Track record of managing and building domain Centers of Excellence Published thought leadership: Articles, whitepapers, conference presentations on healthcare payer technology Experience with healthcare data platforms (Snowflake, Databricks, cloud data warehouses) Familiarity with agile methodologies and modern delivery frameworks (SAFe, Scrum) Active involvement in healthcare IT industry organizations or user groups Multi-cultural experience and comfort working in global, distributed team
