Senior Product Designer - Android

With total funding over $42M, we are aggressively expanding our product footprint into new consumer verticals that will redefine digital identity for millions. We're now scaling into new consumer verticals — and building the design team that will shape all of them. THE OPPORTUNITY We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to lead design for our Android app , end to end. This isn't a role for executing redlines; it's a seat at the table where you own the high-stakes decisions. You'll operate with high autonomy, working directly with founders and pod leads to influence product direction without the friction of a design-ops layer. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Own the full design lifecycle for the Android app, from initial problem discovery and framing to final high-fidelity shipped UI - Act as the primary design owner, making critical decisions and managing technical trade-offs directly with your product and engineering pods - Scale and tighten Equal's design system in parallel with our rapid product expansion to ensure a cohesive experience at scale - Mentor and manage junior designers, actively helping them level up their visual craft and strategic design thinking WHAT YOU'LL BRING - 5-7 years of experience in consumer product design, with a portfolio that proves your ability to lead complex features from concept to launch - Advanced Figma craft and a sharp eye for interaction nuances that distinguish good products from great ones - A 'builder's' mindset—you thrive in high-velocity environments where processes are still being defined and require your initiative to take shape - The ability to articulate clear, evidence-based design rationales to stakeholders, moving beyond aesthetics to focus on impact
