Azure Infrastructure Operations

The candidate will manage Azure cloud infrastructure and ensure secure, highly available, and optimized cloud services. The focus is on infrastructure operations rather than cloud architecture or development.

Key Responsibilities

Provision, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Machines. Perform VM resizing, backup, restore, and patch management. Troubleshoot VM connectivity and performance issues. Configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, Route Tables, VPN Gateways, and Private Endpoints. Manage Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, and Azure Front Door. Support Azure Web Apps and Azure Function Apps. Configure monitoring using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights. Perform RBAC administration and IAM troubleshooting. Manage Azure Key Vault secrets and certificates. Investigate infrastructure alerts and proactively resolve issues. Support Azure security and compliance initiatives.

Windows Infrastructure Operations

This role has a strong focus on managing and supporting enterprise Windows and Linux infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining the stability, security, availability, and performance of servers across production, UAT, and DR environments.

Key Responsibilities

Administer and maintain Windows Server and Linux server environments. Manage Active Directory, Organizational Units (OU), Users, Groups, Group Policies (GPO), DNS, and DHCP services. Perform server provisioning, decommissioning, upgrades, and lifecycle management. Execute OS patching, vulnerability remediation, and security hardening. Monitor server health, CPU, memory, storage, and application performance. Troubleshoot operating system, network, storage, and application-related issues. Perform backup validation and restoration activities. Maintain VMware and Hyper-V virtual infrastructure. Create automation scripts using Power Shell and Bash to reduce manual operational effort. Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for recurring issues. Support disaster recovery activities and business continuity planning. Ensure compliance with organizational security and operational standards.

As a System Operations Lead, the candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day infrastructure operations while leading the support team and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Leadership Responsibilities

Lead and mentor L2 and L3 infrastructure engineers. Review daily operational activities and ticket queues. Allocate work based on priorities and team capacity. Conduct technical reviews and knowledge-sharing sessions. Support resource planning and workload management. Drive continuous service improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational KPIs. Act as the primary escalation point for critical production incidents.

Ideal Candidate Profile

8–10 years of experience in infrastructure operations and managed services. Strong expertise in Azure, Windows and Linux administration. Practical understanding of virtualization, backup, monitoring, networking, and security. Strong knowledge of ITIL processes and enterprise service management. Experience leading L2/L3 technical teams in 24×7 production environments. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities while ensuring high service availability and operational excellence.
