We're Hiring: Associate I – Sales & Use Tax (US Indirect Tax)

This role sits within the US Indirect Tax team, supporting complex, multi-state sales and use tax operations.

Role Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Associate I to support ARKO's US Sales and Use Tax function. This role provides hands-on exposure to end-to-end tax compliance, audit support, and process transformation in a dynamic, high-volume environment.

What You'll Do:

Support end-to-end sales & use tax compliance for multiple US jurisdictions. Prepare tax data and validate returns. Perform monthly GL reconciliations for tax-related accounts. Assist with month-end close, including journal entries for indirect taxes. Respond to tax notices and jurisdictional inquiries. Support state and local tax audits (data gathering, validation, tracking). Maintain audit trackers and monitor remediation actions. Assist in tax research and track changes in state tax regulations. Support Exemption Certificate Management Processes. Drive process improvements and automation initiatives. Collaborate with US stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

What We're Looking For:

1–2 years of experience in Indirect Tax / US Sales & Use Tax / GST / VAT – MUST HAVE. Bachelor's degree (B. Com / Accounting / Finance)-NO CA or CMA profiles. MBA or M. Com (Finance) preferred. Strong Excel skills (Pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis). Good understanding of accounting and reconciliations. Exposure to PDI / SAP / Vertex / Avalara / One Source is a plus-Good to have.
