Job Description
About the role:
We are looking for a detail-orientated and reliable accountant to manage day-to-day financial transactions, maintain accurate books of accounts, and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Tally ERP, GST filings, bank reconciliations, and general finance operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts (ledgers, journals, cash books)
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and perform bookkeeping duties
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements ; perform periodic bank reconciliation
- Manage accounting entries and reporting using Tally / Tally ERP 9 / Tally Prime
- Prepare and finalize the balance sheet , profit & loss statement, and other financial reports
- Handle GST computations, return filing (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.), and reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B
- Process invoices, payments, receipts, and vendor/customer reconciliations
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing activities
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and company policies
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, and follow up on outstanding payments
- Support budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial analysis as required
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficiency in Tally / Tally ERP software
- Experience with bank reconciliation and handling bank statements
- Working knowledge of GST rules, filing, and compliance
- Ability to prepare and interpret a balance sheet and other financial statements
- Sound understanding of finance and accounting fundamentals
- Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage deadlines and work independently
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Prior experience in mining
- Individuals who worked with international clients will be preferred.
- Familiarity with GST portal and e-invoicing/e-way bill systems
- Good communication and coordination skills
