Position: STEM Expert – Biology & Bioinformatics (PhD)
Type: Contractor
Compensation: $45–$90/hour
Location: Remote (Worldwide)
About the OpportunityThis opportunity is for PhD-level experts in biology and bioinformatics to support AI training and benchmarking. You'll evaluate biological workflows, analyze complex datasets, and help improve the accuracy and reliability of AI models and tools.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, evaluate, and improve biology and bioinformatics workflows.Analyze genomic, transcriptomic, proteomic, and other biological datasets.Optimize pipeline configurations, statistical methods, and reproducibility.Provide expert insights to guide biology-related AI model development and validation.Document findings and communicate scientific recommendations clearly.Required QualificationsPhD in Biology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics, or a related STEM field, or equivalent industry/research experience.Deep expertise in at least one relevant biological domain, with hands-on data analysis experience.Proficiency in Python and/or R and relevant scientific tools such as BLAST, GATK, samtools, Bioconductor, or Biopython.Strong statistical, quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Professional written and spoken English proficiency (C1 or higher).Preferred QualificationsExperience with reproducible workflows such as Nextflow or Snakemake and Linux environments.Experience with AI/ML-assisted biology workflows or benchmarking.Peer-reviewed publications, patents, or open-source bioinformatics contributions.Compensation$45–$90/hour.Remote contractor opportunity open worldwide.50 openings listed.Application ProcessSubmit an updated resume highlighting relevant research and data analysis experience.Complete the required screening or assessment steps.Proceed with further evaluation and onboarding if selected. xzbcwsv
