About the role We are recruiting an experienced Front of House Manager on behalf of our restaurant client in Cockfosters. You will lead the restaurant floor, organise service, support the team and take responsibility for the guest experience. This role needs someone who leads by example, makes practical decisions and remains approachable under pressure.
Key responsibilities Lead daily front of house service, brief the team and allocate sections and duties to match bookings and service demand.
Oversee reservations, guest arrivals and table allocation, maintaining an organised and welcoming service.
Supervise and coach the team, support new starters and address service or performance issues constructively.
Work closely with the kitchen and bar to coordinate orders, communicate dietary requirements and resolve delays.
Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, resolve issues within your authority and escalate matters when needed.
Oversee opening and closing checks, payment reconciliation, cleanliness and service supplies, reporting discrepancies promptly.
What we are looking for At least 5 years' relevant front of house experience, including proven responsibility for supervising or managing a restaurant team.
Strong knowledge of restaurant service and confidence leading a busy floor.
A practical, supportive management style and willingness to work alongside the team.
Good judgement when dealing with complaints, staffing pressures and competing service priorities.
Strong organisation, clear communication and accurate cash and payment handling.
An understanding of food hygiene, allergen procedures and consistent service standards. xrexnqw
