Cardiac Surgical Intermediate Care Registered Nurse

Alaska Regional Hospital seeks a Cardiac Surgical IMC RN to care for post-operative cardiac and thoracic surgery patients in a fast-paced intermediate care unit. The RN will closely monitor hemodynamic status and telemetry, manage chest tubes, drips, and complex wounds, and respond rapidly to changes in condition. Responsibilities include thorough assessments, evidence-based interventions, accurate EHR documentation, and clear communication with surgeons, intensivists, and ancillary teams. Nurses contribute to a collaborative, learning-focused culture, mentoring newer staff and supporting quality, safety, and patient- and family-centered care across Alaska.
