Job Description – Reinsurance Operations, Placement & Underwriting

Location: Delhi

CTC: ₹10–15 LPA

Level: Executive / Assistant Manager

Role Overview

We are looking for an entry-level Reinsurance professional to support Reinsurance Operations, Placement and Underwriting activities. The role will provide exposure to the end-to-end reinsurance lifecycle and involve coordination with insurers, reinsurers, brokers and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day reinsurance operations , documentation and transaction processing.
• Assist with reinsurance placements , including preparation of slips, submissions and placement documentation.
• Coordinate with reinsurers, insurers/cedants and internal teams for quotes, terms and documentation.
• Support underwriting activities , including reviewing risk information and analysing submissions.
• Assist in obtaining and comparing quotes, terms, premiums, limits and conditions from reinsurers.
• Maintain records of placements, renewals, endorsements and other reinsurance transactions.
• Follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely placement and closure of transactions.
• Support senior team members in negotiations and client/reinsurer coordination.
• Ensure accuracy of documentation and adherence to internal processes and compliance requirements.

Desired Profile

• 1–3 years of experience in Reinsurance Operations, Placement or Underwriting .
• Candidates from General Insurance/Reinsurance backgrounds preferred.
• Good understanding of basic reinsurance concepts and processes .
• Strong communication, coordination and analytical skills.
• Good attention to detail and ability to manage multiple activities.
