Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping operations .
  • Review and control accounting records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely updating.
  • Manage marketplace payout and settlement reconciliations across various e-commerce platforms.
  • Verify payments, deductions, fees, refunds, chargebacks, and other marketplace transactions.
  • Monitor cash flow, receivables, payables, and business expenses .
  • Review and maintain accurate accounting data within the company’s ERP/accounting systems .
  • Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial reports .
  • Prepare, analyze, and review Profit & Loss statements and other management reports.
  • Identify financial discrepancies, investigate variances, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial controls, reconciliation procedures, and accounting processes .
  • Coordinate directly with the company’s US-based CPA on accounting, reporting, taxation, and compliance matters.
  • Support the preparation and organization of financial information required for US tax filings and regulatory requirements .
  • Provide accurate and timely financial insights to management to support business decisions.
  • Lead, supervise, and review the work of the accounting/finance team.
  • Allocate responsibilities, monitor team performance, and ensure accounting tasks and reporting deadlines are met.
  • Continuously improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting systems as the business grows.

Requirements

  • 6–8+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance.
  • At least 2–3 years of experience in a Team Lead, Accounting Supervisor, Senior Accountant, or similar leadership role .
  • Strong hands-on experience in bookkeeping, reconciliations, financial reporting, and accounting controls.
  • Experience preparing and reviewing P&L statements, cash-flow reports, and management reports .
  • Strong understanding of marketplace payout and transaction reconciliation ; e-commerce accounting experience is highly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of US accounting and taxation requirements .
  • Experience coordinating with a US-based CPA, accountant, tax advisor, or external finance professional .
  • Strong ERP/accounting software experience, such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, Xero, or similar platforms .
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills with strong analytical and reconciliation capabilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify financial discrepancies and control gaps.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to independently manage accounting operations while effectively leading a team.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working with a US-based company .
  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplace, retail, or private-label businesses .
  • Experience handling settlements and financial data from platforms such as Amazon, Walmart, TikTok Shop, eBay, or similar marketplaces .
  • Experience working with US CPA firms and supporting US tax and regulatory requirements
