NSP - Registered Nurse

About the Role: Responsible for supervising day-to-day health services activities. Health Services provide services and support for foster care, residential and ACS involved youth. This role is primarily providing health/support services to our youths in our Limited Secure Placement facility.

What You ll Do

Other duties include but are not limited to the following:

Provides general medical care and treatment to individuals supported by the program, on site.

Performs physical examinations and preventative health measures within prescribed guidelines and instructions.

Provide health evaluations, assessments, and screenings with follow-ups. Review all Pediatric guidelines for care, including immunizations and testing

Records physical findings based on the patient s condition.

Participate in clinical team and other health professional to prepare comprehensive patient care plan utilizing historical and current information

Conducts and assists in medical examination of youth after incidents.

Provides health education to youth supported, including reproductive health education

On call for all triage, sick, urgent and quick coverage, questions and consult calls for assigned programs (if this pertains to the Program that you are covering).

Administer Medication.

Train staff.

Other duties may be assigned within your scope of practice.

Qualifications

New York State Registered Nurse.

BCLS certification

Bachelor s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university preferred.

Pediatric experience preferred but not required.
