Bartender Position at Omni Fort Lauderdale HotelThe Omni Ft. Lauderdale Hotel is a 29-story hotel, located at 1950 Eisenhower Blvd, and connected directly to the Broward County Convention. The property offers 801 guest rooms and suites, multiple restaurants, a vibrant rooftop bar, a sprawling pool, spa, and fitness center. The hotel has over 120,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting and event space, including a grand ballroom, junior ballroom, 25 breakout rooms and pre-function meeting space with waterfront views.Job Purpose: The Bartender is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service through the preparation and service of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages at Barchetta, a new coastal Italian chophouse overlooking Fort Lauderdale's Intracoastal Waterway. This role ensures a clean, safe, organized, and efficient bar environment while maintaining Omni standards of service and supporting overall Food & Beverage operations based on business needs.Essential duties include, but are not limited to:Provides guest service support across food and beverage outlets, as assigned based on business needsFollows, enforces, complies with, and adheres to all Omni rules, policies, procedures, standards, and recipesSets up, maintains, and breaks down bar stations, ensuring cleanliness and operational readiness throughout the shiftGreets guests with a pleasant demeanor and delivers professional, courteous, and attentive serviceTakes beverage and food orders, answers menu questions, and offers recommendations and daily specialsPrepares cocktails and beverages according to standard recipes and presentation guidelinesMixes drinks for service staff only when properly entered into the POS systemMaintains familiarity with wine lists, beer selections, spirits, appropriate glassware, and garnishesEnsures consistency and quality in beverage presentation and executionRecords all transactions accurately in the POS system and adheres to established cash-handling proceduresPresents accurate checks to guests and processes payments in a timely mannerMaintains knowledge of property amenities and other food and beverage outletsEnforces all applicable liquor liability laws and responsible alcohol service policiesDuties, responsibilities, and work locations may change or be assigned at any time based on business needs.Associates may be cross trained in multiple functions or outlets to support operational efficiency and professional developmentMust be available to work varied schedules, shifts, and locations, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and different outlets as assignedQualificationsMinimum of one (1) year bartending experienceWorking knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, including sales and presentation techniquesAbility to communicate clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, in EnglishAbility to accurately and efficiently enter information into the POS systemStrong customer service, service recovery, and problem-solving skillsAbility to remain calm, organized, and professional in a fast-paced environmentAbility to work collaboratively with co-workers and management across departmentsWork Environment & Physical RequirementsAbility to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 40 pounds without assistanceRequires frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, twisting, and continuous use of hands and armsMust be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including entire shiftsWork may occur in indoor and outdoor environmentsOmni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity/AA/Disability/Veteran employer.
