Warehouse & Distribution Operative Excel Recruitment is seeking an enthusiastic and suitably experienced Warehouse Operative on behalf of a leading distribution company based in Belfast.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous warehouse or stores experience who is ready to hit the ground running and become a valued member of a busy distribution team.
You will receive ongoing guidance and mentoring from experienced colleagues to help you develop your skills, build confidence and succeed in the role.
Mon-Fri 8.30-17.00 This is initially a temporary position with the view of going permanent after a probationary period.
Responsibilities Picking, packing and preparing customer orders accurately and efficiently for dispatch.
Checking products, quantities and order details to ensure all goods are correct and ready for delivery.
Receiving deliveries, checking incoming stock and ensuring goods are stored safely and correctly.
Operating cutting equipment as required, following the relevant safety procedures.
Preparing, labelling and organising products to ensure orders are ready for collection or delivery.
Loading and unloading deliveries and moving stock safely around the warehouse.
Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment.
Following company health and safety procedures and always ensuring safe working practices.
Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily targets, maintain accuracy and ensure orders are dispatched on time.
Requirements Previous experience as a warehouse operative or in a similar warehouse or stores role, with a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience.
An enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking approach, with a willingness to get involved in all aspects of the role.
Good attention to detail and the ability to pick, check and prepare orders accurately.
Ability to follow instructions, work independently when required and contribute positively to a busy team.
Willingness to undertake manual handling duties and work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
A strong commitment to health and safety, accuracy and maintaining high working standards.
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn, take guidance and develop your skills through ongoing mentoring.
