Company: Big Brains Learning Position: AWS Mentor Employment Type: Contract Based Work Mode: Remote Department: Cloud Computing Contract Duration: Project or Contract Based Role Overview Big Brains Learning is looking for an experienced AWS professional and mentor who can create and deliver practical AWS course content for university students, aspiring cloud engineers, developers and IT professionals. The selected candidate will teach students how to use Amazon Web Services to deploy, manage, secure and scale modern applications and cloud infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Design and structure AWS course content according to an agreed curriculum. Deliver clear, practical and easy-to-understand AWS lessons. Explain cloud computing fundamentals and AWS architecture. Teach AWS account setup, IAM users, roles, permissions and security practices. Teach core AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFront and Route 53. Demonstrate application deployment and server configuration on AWS. Teach networking concepts including VPCs, subnets, security groups and routing. Explain databases, storage, backups and cloud scalability. Teach serverless application development using AWS Lambda and related services. Introduce containers and AWS container services where applicable. Teach monitoring, logging, cost management and cloud security. Guide students through practical AWS projects and assignments. Review student work and provide constructive feedback. Answer student questions related to AWS and assigned projects. Coordinate with the Big Brains team regarding curriculum, student progress and content delivery. Course Content The course may cover cloud computing fundamentals, AWS architecture, IAM, EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudFront, Route 53, load balancing, auto scaling, databases, storage, networking, monitoring, logging, security, serverless applications, containers, deployment, cost optimization and practical AWS projects. The exact curriculum, course duration, number of sessions, projects and assignments will be mutually agreed upon before the contract begins. Deliverables The mentor will be responsible for delivering the agreed course sessions and learning materials. The mentor may also provide practical labs, AWS projects, architecture examples, assignments, supporting resources, project guidance and student reviews depending on the agreed course scope. Contract and Payment This is a contract based position. Compensation will be mutually agreed upon according to the course scope, duration and responsibilities. Payment may be based on individual sessions, milestones, complete course delivery or another mutually agreed arrangement. Payment will be released according to the agreed terms. Requirements Strong practical experience with AWS. Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS. Good understanding of core AWS services and cloud architecture. Understanding of AWS networking, security and IAM. Experience with EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and VPC will be an advantage. Ability to explain cloud computing concepts clearly. Strong communication and mentoring skills. Ability to guide students through practical cloud projects. Previous teaching, mentoring or technical content creation experience will be considered an advantage. Student Mentoring The mentor should help students develop practical cloud computing skills through hands-on labs, projects and real-world deployment examples. Quality Review Course content and mentoring sessions may be reviewed by the Big Brains team to ensure technical accuracy, educational quality and alignment with the agreed curriculum. Confidentiality The mentor agrees to maintain confidentiality regarding non-public information received from Big Brains, including internal systems, student information, unpublished course material and business information. Termination Either party may terminate the contract according to the termination conditions specified in the final agreement. Benefits Opportunity to mentor university students. Requirements
- Strong practical experience with AWS.
- Experience deploying and managing applications on AWS.
- Good understanding of AWS architecture and core cloud services.
- Knowledge of AWS networking, IAM and security.
- Experience with EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda and VPC will be an advantage.
- Understanding of cloud deployment and monitoring.
