Role Description

The Managing Director role is a full-time, on-site position based in Karachi South District. The Managing Director will oversee overall business operations, including strategic planning, financial management, and development of new trek, expedition, and tour offerings that align with the company's mission. This role will lead and support cross-functional teams, manage partnerships with local suppliers and international clients, and ensure that safety, quality, and customer experience standards are consistently met. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting performance goals, reviewing operational reports, guiding marketing and sales initiatives, and maintaining strong communication with the Skardu office and field teams. The Managing Director will also represent the company in external meetings, help build its brand, and identify opportunities for responsible growth in domestic and international markets.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and management experience, including overseeing teams, setting strategy, and driving operational excellence.
• Background in travel, tourism, hospitality, outdoor/adventure industry, or related sectors, with a strong understanding of customer experience.
• Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and basic P&L management, with a focus on sustainable growth.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with local partners, international clients, and stakeholders.
• Experience in business development, marketing, or sales, especially in service-based or tourism-focused organizations.
• Ability to work on-site in Karachi South District and collaborate effectively with remote and field teams based in Gilgit-Baltistan.
• Comfort with multi-cultural environments and a commitment to responsible, community-centered tourism practices.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Tourism, or a related field; an advanced degree or equivalent experience is an advantage.
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Urdu and/or local languages of Gilgit-Baltistan is
