Are you a CPA, EA, or JD who enjoys advising business owners and high-net-worth clients on complex tax matters? Are you ready to lead a team, build client relationships, and play a key role in the growth of an innovative tax practice?
The RoleAs Tax Manager, you will manage a portfolio of business owners, high-net-worth individuals and real estate investor clients, acting as their main point of contact and providing proactive tax planning and advisory support throughout the year.
You will also lead and mentor a team of approximately five Tax Associates, overseeing workflow, quality, deadlines, client service and technical review.
This is a role for someone who wants more than technical tax work alone. You will have the opportunity to influence how the practice grows, support client development, improve processes and help shape the future direction of the firm.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage a portfolio of business, individual, and real estate investor clients.Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned client relationships.Oversee the preparation and review of individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.Deliver proactive tax planning and advisory services.Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Tax Associates.Manage workflow, quality control, and client deadlines.Participate in consultations with prospective clients and support the onboarding process.Build referral relationships and generate new business opportunities.Stay current on tax law developments and industry trends.Support process improvements, technology adoption, and operational initiatives.

About youAn active CPA, EA, or JD credential.5+ Years experience preparing and/or reviewing individual, partnership, and corporate tax returns.Team leadership or mentoring experience.Strong client relationship and communication skills.Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.Experience with practice management software, CRM systems, and office technology.Business development or client onboarding experience is preferred.
