Accounts Payable Specialist

Liberty Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and growing organisation in the search for an experienced Accounts Payable professional to join their Finance team. Based in Gosport, you can expect a salary of circa £32,000, some great benefits and the opportunity to work within a collaborative Finance team. You will ensure the smooth day-to-day running of Accounts Payable while also having the opportunity to get involved in systems, projects and process improvements. Key responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day Accounts Payable function, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and efficiently Ensure expenditure is correctly coded and allocated across the business Prepare weekly and monthly supplier payment runs and issue remittance advice Manage supplier queries and maintain positive relationships with external suppliers Process employee expenses and company credit card transactions Complete daily bank postings and reconciliations, investigating and resolving any discrepancies Prepare and post journals including accruals and prepayments Support month-end and year-end reporting activities Review aged creditor balances and resolve outstanding items Provide supporting documentation and information for internal and external audits Support Finance projects, system developments and process improvement initiatives About you AAT qualified/part-qualified or extensive experience within a similar Accounts Payable role Strong end-to-end Accounts Payable experience Experience using Microsoft Dynamics Business Central or another ERP/accounting system Good Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and reconcile financial information Strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy Confident managing multiple priorities and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills If you're an experienced Accounts Payable professional looking for your next opportunity within a growing organisation, we would love to hear from you.
