Taxes for Expats (TFX) is hiring experienced CPAs, EAs, or tax attorneys to support our growing global client base of Americans living abroad.
We are a well-established U.S. expat tax firm with 20+ years of experience, serving thousands of clients across 190+ countries. Our preparers enjoy a steady flow of work - no need to source your own clients.
This is a fully remote, flexible role, ideal for professionals seeking seasonal, part-time, or scalable workloads.
What You’ll Do • Prepare and file accurate expatriate tax returns for U.S. citizens abroad • Provide guidance on international tax laws, compliance, and tax planning strategies • Collaborate with clients to gather required documentation • Deliver high-quality client communication and support • Ensure all filings meet IRS deadlines and compliance standards
Qualifications • Active U.S. CPA, EA, or JD (required) • 2+ years of U.S. expat tax experience OR 5+ years of general U.S. tax experience • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal tax law • Experience with FBAR, FATCA, or international reporting (preferred) • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple returns
Compensation This is a commission-based role tied to completed returns.
Typical earnings during peak season: ➡️

February–June, September–November
