About the FirmA leading global law firm with a prominent Real Estate and Financial Markets practice is looking for an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to join its New York team. The firm represents institutional investors and lenders in complex commercial real estate loans, dispositions, and sale transactions.
What You’ll Be DoingReview and analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and related due diligence documentsIdentify, summarize, and help resolve title, survey, and zoning issues, including negotiating title insurance and related reportsDraft, edit, and conform legal documents and correspondenceCoordinate title, survey, zoning, and other third-party services throughout transactionsSupport escrow closings for purchase, sale, and financing transactions, including closing documents, settlement statements, signature pages, execution, recording, and document deliveryCoordinate closing logistics with attorneys, clients, and other partiesHandle post-closing matters, including UCC filings and preparation of closing bindersCoordinate outside vendors and manage related bills and disbursement paperworkProvide general supervision and guidance to project assistants and other clerical staff when required
What They’re Looking For5+ years of Real Estate Paralegal experience, preferably within a large or global law firmStrong commercial real estate transaction experience, particularly with lending, dispositions, and sale transactionsStrong knowledge and hands-on experience with title, survey, and zoning examinationExcellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesStrong Microsoft Office skills xzbcwsv Bachelor’s degree required; paralegal certification is a plus
