Chandigarh University is seeking a dedicated and motivated individual for the position of Assistant Professor in the Psychology department. The candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Psychology, engaging in research activities, and contributing to departmental and university service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in psychological theories and practices, along with a commitment to academic excellence and student development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver lectures, seminars, and tutorials for various psychology courses.

- Create and evaluate assessments to measure student performance and learning outcomes.

- Supervise and mentor undergraduate and graduate student research projects.

- Conduct original research and publish findings in reputable academic journals.

- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum development, and program assessment.

- Collaborate with faculty members on research initiatives and academic projects.

- Engage in community outreach activities and promote the discipline of psychology.

- Stay updated with the latest developments in psychology and incorporate relevant knowledge into teaching.

Skills and Qualifications:

- A Ph.D. in Psychology or a related field from a recognized institution.

- Strong understanding of psychological theories, research methods, and statistical analysis.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Ability to foster a positive learning environment that encourages student engagement.

- Experience in research and a track record of academic publications is preferred.

- Proficiency in using educational technology and online learning tools.
