Business Development Manager – Pharma Exports & Contract Manufacturing

Company: 9M India Limited — WHO-GMP certified pharmaceutical manufacturer, Raipur, Chhattisgarh. We manufacture and export tablets, capsules, oral liquids, ointments/creams, and injections to markets across Africa and beyond, both under contract manufacturing and third-party arrangements.

About the role:

We're looking for a Business Development Manager who can own the full sales cycle — from inbound enquiry to signed contract — without needing hand-holding on pricing or technical detail. You'll be the primary commercial face of 9M to international distributors and pharma companies, responsible for quoting accurately, understanding what buyers actually need (including dossier and documentation requirements), and closing deals.

Responsibilities:

• Own inbound BD leads end-to-end — first response through to closure
• Prepare accurate costing and pricing quotations across our five dosage forms
• Understand and confidently discuss dossier requirements (CTD/ACTD), product registration documentation, and regulatory expectations for target export markets
• Coordinate with RA, QC, and Production to pull technical inputs into proposals
• Build and manage relationships with international distributors, marketing partners, and pharma buyers
• Represent 9M at international trade shows and exhibitions (CPHI, IPHEX, Africa Health, etc.)
• Negotiate commercial terms and close contract manufacturing / supply agreements
• Maintain pipeline reporting and forecast accuracy

Requirements:

• 5+ years in pharma BD, export sales, or CDMO business development
• Strong grasp of pharma pricing/costing and international regulatory documentation
• Experience with regulated or semi-regulated export markets (Africa, CIS, Middle East, LATAM preferred)
• Comfortable owning pricing conversations independently — not escalating every quote
• Excellent communicator, strong relationship-builder
• Willing to travel internationally for client visits and trade shows
