About the Opportunity
A newly established independent insurance agency in Chester, New Jersey is looking for a motivated, P&C-licensed Insurance Sales Representative to join its growing team.This is an opportunity to join an agency in its early stages, with the resources and lead generation support already in place to help a salesperson succeed. Unlike many insurance sales positions, you won't be expected to build your business entirely through cold calling or personal prospecting.The agency is investing heavily in lead generation and expects to provide approximately 10–20 incoming leads per day through established digital marketing channels.
We're looking for someone with at least a year of insurance experience who enjoys selling, is comfortable working with customers, and wants an opportunity to grow alongside a developing agency.
What You'll Do
Follow up with incoming leads and prospective customers to identify their insurance needs.Prepare quotes and recommend appropriate personal lines insurance products.Work with multiple insurance carriers to find competitive coverage options.Convert prospective customers into new policyholders.Build relationships with clients and identify opportunities for additional coverage.Maintain accurate records and manage follow-up activity using agency systems.Contribute to the development and growth of the agency's customer base.
What We're Looking For
Active New Jersey Property & Casualty insurance license.At least one year of insurance industry experience, preferably in personal lines sales.Strong communication, sales, and customer service skills.Comfortable using insurance quoting platforms and CRM systems.Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a consistent volume of leads.Experience working in an independent agency is helpful but not required.
Compensation & Work Arrangement
Base salary: $35,000–$40,000, depending on experience.Commission: Additional commission opportunity, with a competitive 50% commission structure.Leads provided: Approximately 10–20 leads daily.Location: Chester, New Jersey.Schedule: Full-time preferred, with some flexibility for the right candidate.Work environment: Primarily office-based, with potential flexibility depending on experience.
