Position: EAL Teacher (PYP & MYP)

Role Summary

The EAL Teacher will support the development of English language proficiency among pupils in the whole school (PYP & MYP). This full-time role focuses on delivering effective language instruction, supporting academic progress, and building pupils’ confidence in communication and literacy within an inclusive, inquiry-based learning environment.

Location: King's College UK, Gurugram, Sector 59, Bandhwari, Gurugram, Haryana

Start Date: January 2027

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver EAL lessons aligned with the IB PYP & MYP framework.
• Support pupils in developing English language, literacy, and communication skills.
• Collaborate with EAL team and the subject teachers to support language development across the curriculum.
• Assess, monitor, and document pupil progress.
• Develop differentiated learning resources to meet individual pupil needs.
• Promote the IB Learner Profile and Approaches to Learning (ATL).
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development.

Essential Requirements

• Prior experience teaching EAL in an IB School is essential.
• Completion of an IB workshop is essential.
• Recognised teaching qualification (B.Ed. or equivalent).
• TEFL/TESOL certification is essential.
• Strong understanding of the IB framework and inquiry-based learning.
• Experience supporting multilingual learners.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
