Role Overview

• We are looking for an experienced Veeam Backup Administrator responsible for the implementation, configuration, administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and operational support of Veeam Backup solutions.
• The role will involve managing enterprise backup infrastructure, ensuring backup availability and recoverability, resolving backup-related incidents, and supporting backup and disaster recovery requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Veeam Backup Implementation
• Design and implement Veeam Backup & Replication solutions based on business and technical requirements.
• Install, configure, and upgrade Veeam Backup & Replication components.
• Configure backup jobs, backup repositories, proxies, backup copy jobs, and replication jobs.
• Configure and manage backup policies for physical, virtual, and cloud workloads.
• Implement backup solutions for VMware and Microsoft Hyper-V environments.
• Configure and manage Veeam Backup infrastructure, including Enterprise Manager where applicable.
• Implement backup retention, GFS policies, and appropriate backup schedules.
• Support integration with storage systems and backup repositories.
• Backup Operations & Administration
• Monitor daily backup jobs and ensure successful completion within defined SLAs.
• Investigate and resolve failed, missed, or incomplete backup jobs.
• Perform backup restores, file-level recovery, VM recovery, and application-level recovery as required.
• Manage backup repositories, storage capacity, and backup retention.
• Perform backup health checks and identify potential backup infrastructure issues.
• Maintain backup documentation, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Execute regular backup verification and recovery testing.
