Head of Unit

FyneHand has been mandated to hire a Unit Head for a leading group of hospitals. The job location is Gurugram.

Role purpose: To provide end-to-end leadership for the hospital unit , driving operational excellence, financial performance, patient experience, business growth and people leadership while ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.

The Unit Head will serve as the key link between clinical, nursing, operations, finance, HR, business development and support functions to ensure seamless, patient-centric healthcare delivery.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead overall hospital operations and ensure seamless functioning across clinical and non-clinical departments
• Drive revenue, profitability, capacity utilization and operational efficiency, with ownership of key hospital KPIs
• Partner with senior clinicians and medical leadership to strengthen clinical productivity, specialty growth and collaboration
• Champion patient experience, including NPS, satisfaction, complaint resolution and efficient patient journeys
• Ensure adherence to NABH/JCI standards, patient safety, regulatory and quality requirements
• Lead and develop a large multidisciplinary workforce, fostering accountability, engagement and a high-performance culture
• Identify and drive business growth opportunities, new services, capacity expansion and strategic initiatives
• Ensure effective cross-functional coordination and eliminate operational silos

Ideal candidate:

• 15+ years of overall experience, with significant experience in senior hospital leadership/operations
• Experience managing a large tertiary/quaternary-care multispecialty hospital, preferably 500+ beds
• Strong exposure to P&L management, hospital operations and business growth
• Proven ability to manage senior clinicians and multiple stakeholders
• Strong commercial orientation combined with a patient-centric approach
• Strategic thinker with excellent execution, people leadership and transformation capabilities
• Ability to operate effectively in a complex, doctor-led healthcare environment
