Head of Finance

We are seeking a hands-on Controller / Head of Finance with strong experience in private lending, financial institutions, and real estate bridge lending. This individual will oversee financial reporting and accounting while partnering with leadership on deal structuring, capital raising, investor relations, banking relationships, and lending transactions.The ideal candidate combines strong financial management expertise with a practical understanding of how lending transactions move from origination and structuring through funding, servicing, refinancing, and closing. This role requires someone who can connect accounting and financial reporting with the commercial and operational aspects of a lending business.

Job ResponsibilitiesOversee financial reporting, accounting, reconciliations, cash flow management, budgeting, and financial analysis.Partner with leadership to evaluate and structure bridge loans, refinancings, and other lending transactions.Analyze transaction economics, funding requirements, capital structures, and financial considerations to support deal execution.Support capital-raising initiatives and maintain relationships with investors and other capital partners.Develop and maintain relationships with banks and lending institutions to coordinate credit facilities, loan transfers, replacement financing, and refinancing arrangements.Oversee the financial administration of loans, including funding flows, interest calculations, payoffs, loan servicing, and portfolio reporting.Prepare and review financial deal summaries, transaction analyses, closing documentation, and supporting financial schedules.Coordinate with internal teams, banks, investors, and external partners to ensure transactions are accurately documented, funded, recorded, and closed.Support refinancing, restructuring, loan transfers, and recapitalization transactions aligned with the company's financial objectives.Monitor liquidity, capital availability, and cash flow to support lending operations and future transactions.Maintain accurate financial records, internal controls, and reporting processes.Serve as a trusted financial partner to leadership, providing insights into transaction performance, capital deployment, and business growth opportunities.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.Progressive experience in accounting, financial management, or finance leadership within private lending, bridge lending, commercial real estate finance, private credit, banking, or a related financial institution.Strong understanding of real estate bridge loans, lending transactions, loan funding, servicing, payoffs, and refinancing.Experience supporting deal structuring, capital allocation, financing arrangements, or transaction execution.Exposure to investor relationships, capital raising, investor-funded transactions, or private credit funding structures.Experience working with banks, credit facilities, loan transfers, refinancing, or recapitalization transactions.Strong knowledge of financial reporting, accounting, reconciliations, cash flow management, and financial analysis.Ability to prepare and review transaction summaries, financial models, closing files, and supporting documentation.Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and relationship-management skills.Hands-on approach with the ability to manage financial operations while partnering directly with senior leadership. xzbcwsv CPA, MBA, or other relevant professional credentials are a plus.
