<p>Classification: Non-exempt
Monday-Friday 5:00 am- 1:30pm occasionally 2:30pm
Hourly Pay Rate: $20.29
The Wash Aisle Operator processes soiled textiles through the washing and drying
stages. This is accomplished by loading and unloading textiles into equipment,
monitoring processes, and transporting textiles to the next phase of production.
You will report to the Production Manager.
<b>You Will:</b>
* Load, unload, and operate industrial washers, tumblers, extractors, lifts,
hoists, and related laundry processing equipment.
* Monitor washing and drying cycles and input required data into automated
washing systems.
* Maintain an efficient flow of textiles through the wash aisle and transport
materials to the next stage of production.
* Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process issues, or quality
concerns to supervision.
* Ensure adherence to safety procedures and proper use of required Personal
Protective Equipment (PPE).
<b>What You Bring:</b>
* Support production flow, as other departments rely on Wash Aisle
productivity.
</p><ul><li>Work as part of a team in a production environment.</li><li>Flexibility to perform different tasks within the team based on daily</li></ul>
operational needs.
<b>Work Environment and Requirements:</b>
* You will perform physical tasks throughout the work shift. These tasks
include standing and walking for extended periods; reach overhead; push and
pull carts or bins; grasp and handle textiles; lift up to 25 pounds; and
stoop or bend.
* Work in production areas of an industrial laundry facility may include
exposure to temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
* Physical Requirements consist of being able to meet the physical demands for
the entire shift.
* Soiled textiles come from a variety of customers such as restaurants, hotels,
medical facilities, and shops.
