Role Description The Academic Trainer – EdTech | Data Science, Generative AI & Agentic AI will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality, classroom-based training for students at the BIA Indore campus. The ideal candidate should have 5 years of strong teaching, corporate training, consulting, or industry experience in Data Science/AI , with demonstrated expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, AI automation, machine learning, data analytics, and real-world business applications . The trainer will teach learners from diverse academic and professional backgrounds, including Computer Science, Engineering, Commerce, Management, Finance, Pharma/Life Sciences, and other non-technical disciplines . The ability to simplify complex technical concepts and demonstrate their application to different industries is essential. The role involves delivering structured classroom sessions, hands-on coding labs, AI projects, industry case studies, capstone projects, assessments, mentoring, and career-oriented guidance. The trainer will also be expected to bring domain-oriented AI and analytics applications into the classroom, particularly in areas such as: Financial Modelling & Financial Analytics Banking & FinTech Pharma & Life Sciences Analytics Healthcare Analytics Commerce & Retail Analytics Business Analytics & Decision Intelligence Marketing & Customer Analytics Supply Chain & Operations AI-powered Business Automation The candidate should be capable of demonstrating how Data Science, Generative AI and Agentic AI can solve practical problems across different industries , rather than teaching these technologies only from a theoretical or coding perspective. Key Responsibilities Design and deliver engaging classroom-based training in Data Science, Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLMs and Agentic AI . Develop structured lesson plans, presentations, coding exercises, assignments, labs, assessments, and project briefs. Teach Python, statistics, data analysis, machine learning, deep learning fundamentals, NLP and AI workflows . Train students on modern Generative AI concepts, LLMs, prompt engineering, RAG, AI applications and AI automation . Teach and demonstrate Agentic AI concepts, AI agents, agent workflows, tool calling, orchestration, multi-agent systems and real-world agentic applications . Introduce learners to relevant AI/GenAI frameworks, APIs, libraries and development environments. Conduct hands-on projects and capstone assignments involving real-world datasets and business problems. Develop industry-specific case studies and projects for students from Finance, Commerce, Pharma, Management, Engineering and other disciplines. Demonstrate applications of Data Science and AI in financial modelling, forecasting, risk analytics, pharma analytics, business intelligence, customer analytics, sales, marketing and operations . Help students understand how AI can be applied to their respective academic/domain backgrounds. Mentor students in developing job-ready portfolios, GitHub projects, dashboards, AI applications and capstone projects . Evaluate assignments, projects, presentations and technical assessments and provide constructive feedback. Support students with technical mentoring, interview preparation, career guidance and industry readiness. Stay updated with rapidly evolving developments in GenAI, Agentic AI, LLMs, AI automation and Data Science and continuously update course content. Collaborate with academic coordinators and leadership teams to improve curriculum, projects and learning outcomes. Conduct AI/GenAI workshops, masterclasses, seminars, hackathons and industry-oriented sessions . Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing and faculty development initiatives. Maintain a professional, inclusive and engaging classroom environment. Required Qualifications & Expertise Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline . Minimum 5 years of relevant teaching, corporate training, consulting, or industry experience in Data Science/AI is mandatory. Strong command of Data Science fundamentals, statistics, data analysis and machine learning . Strong hands-on expertise in Python, Pandas, NumPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn, Scikit-learn and Jupyter/Google Colab or equivalent environments . Strong practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, Prompt Engineering, RAG and AI application development . Hands-on knowledge of Agentic AI, AI agents, agent workflows, tool calling, orchestration and multi-agent systems . Familiarity with modern GenAI/Agentic AI frameworks and platforms is highly desirable. Ability to develop practical GenAI and Agentic AI projects , not just conduct theoretical sessions. Strong understanding of AI automation and integration of AI into business workflows . Experience working with real-world datasets, business cases and industry projects . Strong understanding of financial modelling, financial analytics and business analytics is highly desirable. Experience applying Data Science/AI to Pharma, Healthcare, Commerce, Finance, Retail, Marketing or other business domains will be strongly preferred. Ability to teach students from both technical and non-technical backgrounds . Demonstrated ability to simplify complex technical concepts for students with different levels of programming and mathematical knowledge. Strong curriculum development, instructional design and classroom management skills. Excellent communication, presentation, mentoring and coaching abilities. Experience with LMS platforms, educational technologies and digital learning resources . Strong project management and student evaluation skills. Ability to work full-time, on-site in Indore .
